Work Package 2: Integration and Development

Leader:

Evelina Trutnevyte (UNIGE)

Frank Krysiak (UNIBAS)

What we do:

Work Package 2 connects different energy research communities from modelling and Social Science and Humanities in order to work collaboratively on policy-relevant energy questions in Switzerland. The WP is lead by Evelina Trutnevyte (UNIGE) and Frank Krysiak (UNIBAS).

Objectives:

  1. Provide a service to the Swiss energy research community by developing a publicly accessible toolbox of proven methods to enable bidirectional learning and collaboration between modelling and SSH communities.
  2. Carry out two large-scale integration activities with Swiss modelers and SSH community: A longitudinal activity of developing and assessing energy scenarios for Switzerland and an evidence inter-comparison on a selected energy policy question.
  3. Provide seed resources to develop and validate new integrated models (merging approach) that are from the very beginning able to better represent the co-evolution of the Swiss energy system and society.
