Save the Date! 3rd CoSi Assembly

We are pleased to announce that our 3rd General Assembly will take place on October 16th in Bern. This will be an important and engaging event, featuring insightful presentations and discussions that we believe will be both valuable and inspiring.

We encourage you to mark the date in your calendars and look forward to sharing further details with you in the near future.

1st Scenario Workshop: Phase 1 and Ahead

In the Scenario Workshop on May 12, 2025, the roadmap ahead for the first Scenario Loop will be presented and explained. Building on the feedback and input from the modeling and SSH community gathered in 2024 and the open questions identified by stakeholders, we will present the concept how to link the different perspectives and capabilities into a joined framework. Proposing a two phased concept, we showcase the scenario structure for the national, aggregated model runs (Phase 1) and discuss ideas for the topical investigations planned for the follow-up model runs (Phase 2).

The workshop will take place on May 12, 2025 at Alumni Pavillon of the ETH Zürich (MM Polyterrasse building on the Zentrum campus).

Preliminary agenda:
09:30-12:00: Presentation of the Scenario structure and the question and scenario(s) for Phase 1
12:00-13:00: Lunch
13:00-15:30: Discussion on ideas for questions and topics for Phase 2

Energy Research: SWEET Consortium CoSi brings different worlds together

The SWEET CoSi consortium is a collaborative effort that brings together energy research with social sciences and humanities. The initiative is making a significant impact on the development of the energy system in Switzerland, and coordination between the different disciplines is essential to its success. In an article based on Energeiaplus, the magazine of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy BFE, you can learn more about this innovative initiative and how it is shaping the future of energy in Switzerland. Hannes Weigt, a professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Basel and the coordinator of the consortium, provides insights into the challenges that CoSi is addressing.
