1st Scenario Workshop: Phase 1 and Ahead
In the CoSi Scenario Workshop on May 12, 2025, the roadmap ahead for the first Scenario Loop will be presented and explained. Building on the feedback and input from the modeling and SSH community gathered in 2024 and the open questions identified by stakeholders, we will present the concept how to link the different perspectives and capabilities into a joined framework. Proposing a two phased concept, we showcase the scenario structure for the national, aggregated model runs (Phase 1) and discuss ideas for the topical investigations planned for the follow-up model runs (Phase 2).
The workshop will take place on May 12, 2025 at Alumni Pavillon of the ETH Zürich (MM Polyterrasse building on the Zentrum campus).

SSH Workshop
The Swiss Social Sciences and Humanities Energy Research Workshop (SSH Energy 2025) takes place on June 16-17, 2025, at ETH Zurich. This workshop brings together researchers, modellers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore how inter- and transdisciplinary approaches can contribute to a just and sustainable energy transition.
Building on discussions from the 2024 edition, this year’s workshop will focus on how different perspectives, disciplines, and societal actors can collaborate effectively in energy research. Key topics include methods for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration, the role of culture and arts in energy research, stakeholder engagement, justice frameworks, and power dynamics in shaping energy policies.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their research through paper presentations, micro-workshops, installations, and poster sessions. The call for contributions is now open, with abstract submissions accepted until April 11, 2025. Registration for accepted participants will be open from April 4 to May 30, 2025. As an in-person event with limited capacity, early registration is encouraged. The workshop is free of charge and welcomes scholars from social sciences, humanities, arts, and interdisciplinary fields, as well as energy professionals and policymakers.
